Guess who is walking?

Joshua is now walking. He is still a little wobbly, but can walk from room to room. So officially at 10 months, one week, he is walking. And he is showing signs of wanting to eat what we are eating and not wanting his baby food. He still wants cereal, though.

Jeremy has a football game on Sat. It will be cold!!! High is supposed to be 39. Joshua will stay with his aunt so he doesn't have to go out in the cold. Jeremy's team is 3-1. They did lose last Sunday, but it was a practice game against 4th graders. After this Sat. they have 2 more regular season games and then could be in the playoffs. He sure is liking playing football.

Everybody stay warm this weekend!!

Joshua is 10 months old

Here's the 10 month old! Our friend Mary Kay took this picture. It is so cute, we thought we would use it on this blog, as well. Joshua is doing great. He isn't walking totally yet, but takes several steps and then decides crawling is faster. He is starting to put sounds together, like MAMA! Ha! Ha! Everyone else says he is not saying Mama. Jackie (Mama) thinks he is saying it!!!! He is eating quite a bit of food that we eat. We still suppliment it with his food, but it won't be long and he'll just eat what we do. He already outeats Jeremy at meal time!!! Grandma H was up last Saturday and Sunday, so the boys enjoyed having her around to spoil them. Friday night the boys and Jackie went to see Grandma T. We mowed her lawn and then went out for dinner. It was a very nice evening. This weekend will be spent at football games and the camper. Only have 2 more weekends, so we got to get our time in!!
Below is a picture that Mary Kay took of us all. She does a great job with pictures! Thanks Mary Kay!!

He can walk the whole length of the porch when he has the mower to hang on to.

Joshua got a chocolate cookie..which he liked a whole lot!!

They played in the stadium last Sunday and won 14-12. They are now 2-1. They play this weekend on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday is in Topeka and Sunday is at the stadium.

Joshua attends Jeremy's first official football game

Jeremy, number 12, is getting ready to play defense.

Jeremy with Coach Pete and his team mates.

Jeremy, number 12, getting in the action. They lost the game by one touchdown, but played a good game. Jeremy played both offensive line and defensive line most of the game. He was pretty worn out, but had a blast!!

Joshua got the leftover orange from Jeremy during halftime. We gave him some peaches, too, which he liked. He has now taken 5 steps at one time!!!

Joshua is sucking on an orange peel during halftime!! All of these pics are compliments of our friend Linda. Thanks, Linda!!

He's growing by leaps and bounds!!

At Joshua's 9 month Doctor's appointment, he weighed 23 pounds, 1 ounce and was 30.5 inches tall. He is taking at least 2 steps at a time, now. Dr. said he was doing great. He sings quite a bit. Especially in my "lumber wagon" truck...he sings and the vibration of the truck sounds funny to him!! He knows which roads are the bumpiest!!

We had a good relaxing weekend at the lake last weekend. It was nice.

Happy 9 month Birthday to Joshua!

Joshua in his lifejacket after his swim in the lake.

Here's Joshua on his 9 month birthday! He has taken a step and he can stand for a couple of minutes unassisted, but not quite ready to walk yet. But, I think he will walk soon. He is starting to be resistant to going to other people. He fusses a little when I take him to childcare in the mornings. Unless a stranger will hold his hands and walk with him, he doesn't want much to do with them. We had Di's family picnic this last weekend and that's what some of them had to do to get to be around him. He continues to be a good baby and laughs a lot. He has the greatest smile!! He is mostly in 18 month clothes. Pants are a little long, but other than that, everything fits good. I'll try to post later what his height and weight are. We go to the Dr. on Friday.

Last night Jeremy had a scrimmage football game at Clay Center, so we went up and visited Grandma T. Then we all went to the game. Jeremy plays on the line and is very tough!!! His first real game is Sept. 12.

We plan on spending this weekend at the lake. It's not supposed to be real warm so tubing may not happen. Maybe we'll get some fishing in. As long as there is R and R !!!

Everybody have a good Labor Day weekend!

Joshua is 8 months old

Joshua turned 8 months old on August 2. Whew!!! This 8 months sure went fast. We spent his 8 month birthday at the lake, of course. We went out on the boat and let the big boys tube, more like para-sailing, it was so windy!!! They had a blast! Joshua and Jeremy are at Grandma H's one last time before summer ends and we all have to get back to our routines. They will be home tomorrow. Jeremy has started tackle football practice. They start full pads tomorrow evening, so of course it got hot this week!! 105 heat index today!

Joshua contines to crawl everywhere, get in to everything and pull himself up on everything that he can reach. He is developing quite the little personality. He laughs a lot. Of course it's Jeremy's responsibility to make him laugh as much as possible. That's what big brothers are for. Joshua has become very independent. He doesn't want held too much anymore. He wants down and to be moving!! And he keeps moving until he just can't stay awake cause it's nap time. He doesn't like to be put to sleep. He fights it tooth and nail!! But usually sleep wins!!

We are taking Friday off this week and spending a long weekend at the lake. Our last hoorah before school starts! Hope everyone has a good week.
