Joshua turned 8 months old on August 2. Whew!!! This 8 months sure went fast. We spent his 8 month birthday at the lake, of course. We went out on the boat and let the big boys tube, more like para-sailing, it was so windy!!! They had a blast! Joshua and Jeremy are at Grandma H's one last time before summer ends and we all have to get back to our routines. They will be home tomorrow. Jeremy has started tackle football practice. They start full pads tomorrow evening, so of course it got hot this week!! 105 heat index today!
Joshua contines to crawl everywhere, get in to everything and pull himself up on everything that he can reach. He is developing quite the little personality. He laughs a lot. Of course it's Jeremy's responsibility to make him laugh as much as possible. That's what big brothers are for. Joshua has become very independent. He doesn't want held too much anymore. He wants down and to be moving!! And he keeps moving until he just can't stay awake cause it's nap time. He doesn't like to be put to sleep. He fights it tooth and nail!! But usually sleep wins!!
We are taking Friday off this week and spending a long weekend at the lake. Our last hoorah before school starts! Hope everyone has a good week.

Joshua is now crawling all over the place!! He is pulling himself up on tables, furniture, his bed, etc. He is very mobile!! He continues to eat well. He is losing some of his rolls, because he is growing taller. He and Jeremy are at Grandma H's for a few days this week. They love to go visit their Grandma H. They will come home Thursday and then get to spend Friday with Grandma T.
We spent the weekend at the lake. It was so nice, very little wind and the temperatures were in the 80's. We have been working on the boat to get a couple of seats and the motor cover wood replaced that had rotted out. Our hooptie needs new seats so we have been working on that, too. Sounds like this weekend may be rainy, so we might get the seats done!! We might get some fishing done this weekend. With Joshua, we haven't gone out much to fish. He likes the boat better when it's moving!!! He'll sometimes cry until the boat moves, then he's fine...and then he's asleep!! IT all happens about that quickly!!

Here are some pictures we had taken recently of us and the boys. Hope you enjoy. Joshua is still not crawling full speed yet, but goes a couple of movements before he lays himself out!! His 7th and 8th teeth are all through now. So maybe he will get a break from this teething thing. We are going camping this weekend. Jeremy has his first football practice on Sunday night, so we will come back to town early for that. They are having a watermelon feed, also. Thank goodness with football starting, his baseball is done. Life remains very busy for us, as I'm sure it is for everybody! Have a good weekend!

Happy 7 month birthday tomorrow!
Joshua will be 7 months old, tomorrow, July 2nd. What a joy these 7 months have been. He is cutting 2 more teeth on the bottom, for a total of 8!! He scoots and rolls all over the place now. He has taken a few movements forward with crawling, but still doesn't quite have it. He is so fun to play with. He giggles all of the time, and coos and talks. He has started drinking out of a sippy cup. I gave him my mashed up potatoes and smashed up sausage last weekend and he ate it. He still eats well and has moved on to number 2 meals. He likes most meats and fruits, some vegatables, but not chicken and noodles!! Both Grandmas tried to feed him that and they got the same reaction...the yucky face...gag...etc!
Everybody stay safe over this 4th of July weekend!!

Joshua's tooth count has moved to 6 now!!
This last week, Joshua broke through another 2 upper teeth for a total of 6 now!! He is sitting on his own now for extended periods of time. He is starting to scooch around the floor so crawling is close. We spent the weekend at the lake! He got in the water and swam with us. He loves it! A big bath tub that he can splash all he wants!! He seems to like the boat better when it's moving!! He gets impatient when we are stopped trying to get the tube out or switching people on the tube. Everybody tubed this weekend, even Di and Jackie. We had a great weekend despite the rain all day Saturday!!
Have a good week!!

Joshua gets two more teeth
Joshua has two more teeth. The top two front teeth came in this last week. Joshua has figured out he can roll and move about the room. He's about 2 weeks from crawling, we think. He gets up on his hands and knees but hasn't moved much yet. But he's close!
We went to Grandma H's this weekend to celebrate her birthday with her. We had a really nice weekend. Jeremy and Jackie had to come back to Manhattan early Sunday for KSU Football Camp. Jeremy had a good time at camp and learned a few things!! He has made a tackle football team and they had their first informal practice last night. He's excited for football to start. Jeremy's baseball team won their first baseball game last week, 11 to 10. It was a good game! The boys were so excited to get that first win. There isn't a baseball game this week, so our lives will slow down a little, thank goodness!!
